manda asked:

I have a '93 Jeep Cherokee 4dr in great condition and I was going about 10-15mph and a lady came into my lane and clipped my drivers front end damaging the fender, bumper and grill. State Farm is claiming it a total loss and is offering me 2,200 to give it up or 1,700 if I keep it. I have to get a salvage title if I keep it which I can't drive. I would have to get the salvage title, get it fixed, bring it to the police for it to pass inspection, gather a bunch of forms, pay the fees and then apply for a reconstructed title which then I can drive. The title will always read 'salvage reconstructed' so in the future I would have to sell it to a dealer cause I can't get rid of it to a private party and I would get next to nothing for it. Now if I take the 2,200 I would have to find something for that exact amount cause I have no money to add to it (nor add to fix) and It needs to be large enough for a baby seat in the back, which seems slim esp. a car in the same working cond as jeep.
Also, I have the option to just walk away and not file a claim which will keep my title clear and I don't have to wait on it to either getting fixed or to get another one. If I decide to fix the minor body work it'll be out of my pocket but I'm not worried about it at all, it is very min. damage and the lights/blinkers work. Plus I can take my time fixing it if I wish. I really need a permanent vehicle asap. Insurance asked if I wanted a rental but I didn't get it being that I may just walk away and fear owing money on the rental.

Han Shot First asked:

I bought a Chrysler model REQ 6 disc dvd head unit from a local auto salvage, through ebay (ebay# 190203000038). It is part number 05064111AK. I was told that it came out of a 2008 Jeep Liberty. It has the main wire harness and about a foot of wire, I was told that this Jeep did not have the rear video or the Uconnect installed, so unfortunately I ddin't get those connectors. I know that I have to modify my dash, but I want to put if into my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. I bought a Scosche connecter for my Wrangler's end so that I don't have to cut it's harness. I just need to get a pin out on the radio so that I know how to connect it properly.

Thanks in Advance for the help. I just have a single cd player in there now and it only plays store bought cds! I like to put copies in cars in case they are damaged etc.
Thanks, I was hoping that one of the unused pins was a switched 12v for use in non-canbus vehicles. I am going to give you the points, but I wanted to give you a chance to respond to another question: Any flippin idea how to make this work???
