I was in a car accident about 3 weeks ago. Ok, here’s the deal I have a 07 Charger that was rear-ended the first shop told me that he would try to pull the rear-end out but he ended up having to cut the rear passenger ¼ panel, replacing the floor pan and some other things, now the insurance adjuster is wanting to do something called a rear-end clip (getting a salvage rear end) to replace the damaged one. I asked the first repair shop owner why he didn’t want to do the repair. He replied that it wasn’t worth the trouble. So of course that sounded a little fishy to me so I called some other local repair shops and was basically told that there was risk involved and liability. I would like to know what the safety risks of such a repair are and I don’t like the fact that I have to send my car to another shop because the first doesn’t want to do the repair.
I just got off the phone with my insurance company about and hour ago and they have decided to total the car. Thanks everyone for your response

the adjuster told me that I wouldn't have a salvage title but the car has already been chopped by the first repair shop.
