I never buy salvage cars. Too many problems with them later on.

well, you wont be able to finance the car. most auto finance wont touch it due to being a salvage. you wont be able to fully insure it as well. insurance company's wont touch that as well. the price.i say is too much.
now if you want.. do this.
get the vin# and do a search, and get the real dirt. $30.00 carfax.com for that much do it.
next. get the aliment checked. if all 4 tires can line up perfect.. then you have a winner.
most important.. look for FRAME damage/welding.
thats it.

He may have bought the car as a totalled car and repaired it himself; that's the reason for the salvage title. Spend the money and do the Carfax check. It'll tell you just what happened to it.

well first off. if it was fixed properly it should be a fine car but the salvage title will affect the cars value.
2nd if it only had minor side fender and door damage i really doubt the insurance company would have totaled it. as the repair costs would have been minimal compared to the cars value.
sounds like he maybe hiding the seriousness of the damage

personally I would be skeptical about anything with a salvage title, salvage titles are issued after a vehicle has been damaged to a point that it would exceed the value of the vehicle to repair it, minor right side fender and door damage to a vehicle like this is far from enough to total it so that right there tells me that the seller is hiding something any way and probably hiding a load of problems that this car has or is going to have, more than likely this is going to be a problem car from the word go. I **** to be the barer of bad news but I would continue to hunt for a vehicle and pass this one up
