If you can afford the time to wait and the frustration that comes with re-certification, and the hassle or trying to re sell a vehicle that was once deemed a total loss it could be an ok route for you. There are always cheap cars out there that can fit your child. You may want to take a look into every thing involved with the recertification as you wont be able to drive it until it passes that test.
